The Japanese love their rare fruits. The Yubari Melon, also known as the Yubari King, are rare because they are being grown only in the greenhouses of Yubari near Sapporo. Its rich and unique sweetness is said to be due to the volcanic soil found in Yubari which is why this fruit has not grown anywhere else in the world.
