A celtic-fire-spitter, this monster is said to be the mother of the devil, hatched deep within the molten Earth core when it was just a swirling mass of water, vapor, and rock. After many years of terror from her and her spwans, the Christian missionary and bishop now known as St. Patrick, prayed for guidance to cleanse his beloved Erin Isle of evil. He is said to have fought Caorthannach at the peak of Mount Ox for 2 days and 2 nights until she finally fled. St. Patrick waited for her at the portals of hell where many say he had shut the door on Caorthannach to prevent her from wreaking havoc on the world again.
